Na edição da Green Sunset de Março de 2012 o convidado internacional seria Mr Peter Visti, especialista em sons Balearic. O trabalho dele é bem massa. Chegando no aeroporto. Ele teve alguns problemas pessoais e teve que pegar outro vôo de volta a Dinamarca. Caos…. ferrou ! E agora ? Sem problemas o D-Edge tinha agendado o incrível produtor e DJ Lone. De quem sou fã também. Então, tudo certo.

O que acontece ? Lone cancela sua apresentação no Brasil. Não tinha jeito. Tava destinado. Se o Guzman arranjasse outro dj. Ele ia quebrar a mão ou algo parecido. Então… fui eu o convidado especial. ) DJ residente tocando no melhor horário da tão badalada festa diurna que deu origem a tantas outras.

A vibe foi foda demais. Galera dançou do começo ao fim. Consegui mudar climas. Colocar sons antigos. Clássicos. Novidades… enfim. A mistura que tanto gosto de fazer.

Taí o set pra quem não foi ou pra quem quer relembrar como rolou !

At the Green Sunset March Edition of this year the special guest should be Peter Visti, dj specialized in Balearic sounds. Pretty good !! As soon he arrived at the airport he had to come back to Denmark for personal problems. God !! and now ?? No problems the super club D-Edge had invited the incredible Lone to spin some music at the same day. So, it was perfect !

What happened ?? Lone canceled his gig in Brazil. I think it was something predicted by someone up there ! If the Guzman (Green Sunset producer) find another DJ to spin. Something would happen again.. i think..

So, I became the special guest of the day ). The resident DJ spinning at the best time of this incredible party ! Here we go !!
Its was beautiful ! The crowd danced the whole set !! I could change ambiances. Play old shit ! Classics. News releases… what a day !

Ultimamente comecei a pesquisar umas coisas do Blues. Muitos sons americanos beberam da fonte do Blues. Então eu acabei caindo um pouco no Jazz e também no Original R&B, que é parecido com Rockabilly só que sem as guitarras. Focado mais nos metais e outros instrumentos e com toques de Soul. A pesquisa está só começando, mas aqui já tem um pouquinho do que tenho adicionado nos meus sets.

Fazia  um tempão que não gravava um set Afro. Agora em SP o Afrobeat respira forte. Bixiga 70, Criolo, Burro Morto e mais uma galera vem ganhando destaque por adicionar esse tempero.

Por muito tempo DJs como Ramiro Z (Radiola Urbana), MZK, Vini Tchuna e eu (vide flyer acima Frankafrica 2006) forçamos o repertório pro lado africano. Para fazer com que o público se habituasse ao estilo. O ritmo é um pouco diferente, mas era questão de tempo que o brasileiro iria reconhecer o legado do Fela Kuti.

Enfim, bom que tudo isso está rolando. Mais uma vez a diversidade musical tem seu espaço e quem ganha com isso é o público.

Sobre o set. Uma mistura. Novos nomes. Velhos nomes. Outros estilos africanos além do Afrobeat. E uma pitada de artistas brazucas. Espero que goste. Boa audição.

It´s been a quite long time i didn´t record any Afro set. Now in Sao Paulo the “afro thang” is big. Public and critic love it. Bixiga 70, Criolo, Burro Morto and other artists has been calling attention for add this sauce on their music.

But long time before this brazilian DJs as Ramiro Z (Radiola Urbana), MZK, Vini Tchuna and myself (Frankafrica flyer above from 2006) had been pushing the Afrobeat on dancefloors to make the public get used to it. The rhythm is quite different, but evebody knows is was just a question of time to the Fela legacy get the brazilian crowd.

Anway, its great that this is happening. The diversity of music has been expanding in the nightclubs. And this is really great for the public.

Well, about the set. New names. Old names. Others african styles besides Afrobeat. And a touch of brazilian artists. Hope you like it.  Enjoy it !
